Genúria was born in late 2021 by the hands of João Jacinto and Mariana Antunes, a young couple who gave life to this project on family land in the small village of Montengrão.

Just 8km from the Atlantic Ocean, in the Lisbon region, their vineyard benefits from clay and limestone soils that confer a distinct personality to the wines. The couple's philosophy is based on an organic and regenerative approach in the vineyard, while in the winery they favor minimal intervention, allowing the grapes to naturally express their character, with only occasional additions of sulfur.

The year 2022 represents an important milestone for Genúria - the first harvest destined for their own production, ending a cycle in which the grapes were traditionally delivered to the local cooperative, and beginning a new era of signature wines with their own identity.
