António Meireles de Lemos
Among the gentle hills of the Basto sub-region, just 5 kilometers from Celorico de Basto, stands a wine heritage spanning four generations. The project initiated in 1931 by the great-grandfather of current producer António Meireles de Lemos perpetuates a winemaking philosophy that honors ancestral traditions — where genuine passion for terroir combines with minimalist oenological intervention, allowing only small quantities of sulfur before bottling.
Quinta do Campo reveals itself as a sanctuary of Minho's enogastronomy, home to the restaurant Sabores da Quinta, a filial tribute inaugurated two decades ago by siblings Maria Luísa, Francisco, and António Lemos in honor of their father. Across 25 hectares of meticulously cultivated vineyards spread across various properties, special attention is dedicated to a production that values the authentic expression of terroir, creating wines that capture the true essence of the Vinho Verde region.
